ASTAR Scrabble Challenge International 2020
In accordance with the vision and mission of the University of Malaya to emerge as one of the world's leading universities, ASTAR Scrabble Challenge International (ASCI) was first organised in the year of 2006 by First Residential College. Since then, ASCI has been held every year, with a steady growth in the number of participants and fame in the world of Scrabble. It has become one of the world's largest international Collins event, with around 500 participants of all levels and ages in the last session held in April 2019.
This annual international event is organised by a group of university students who are determined to provide a good platform for enthusiastic Scrabble players around the world to compete with one another. It also serves to expose more people, especially the young ones, to this mind-challenging yet fun game.
To continue the run of success in the previous years, ASCI will be held once again in 2020. We expect to have more than 500 participants from all four categories. We encourage more international players could join us as this is a platform to meet players from around the world such as Hong Kong, Indonesia, New Zealand, Philippines, Singapore, Thailand and Australia.
